Our career path: Sales Associate → Key Holder → Manager → Store Manager

At Genesis, promotions are earned — not given. Team members who live our Core Values, hit their sales expectations, and stay coachable move up. The path runs Sales Associate → Key Holder → Manager → Store Manager.

Sales Associate

A Day in the Life

You're on the floor, and the floor is where the job happens. You greet people as they come in, figure out what they're after, and help them Create Their Look — which means knowing the product well enough to make a real recommendation, not just point. Between customers you're keeping the store clean and shoppable, running the register accurately, and backing up your teammates. Most of your day is conversation, and the good ones turn into repeat customers.

What Success Looks Like

You finish your training and product requirements, and you stop second-guessing the sales process because it's become yours. You hit your personal sales goal consistently, not occasionaly. Teammates and customers can count on you. And you keep asking for feedback — because the associates who do are the ones we tap for Key Holder.

Manager

A Day in the Life

You open or close, handle the copy, and set the tone for the shift the moment you walk in. You're still selling and still carrying a personal sales goal, but now you're coaching while you do it — pulling an associate aside after a missed opportunity, walking a Key Holder through a closing procedure, resetting a display before anyone asks. You partner with the Store Manager on merchandising, training, and store standards, and you're the person the team looks to when something unexpected comes up.

What Success Looks Like

Your numbers hold and so do your team's. The people who work your shifts get better, because you coach them honestly and hold them to it. Operations run clean — the details don't slip. You use good judgment without waiting to be told, and you show up the same way for customers, teammates, and vendor partners alike. Managers who do this well are the ones building toward Store Manager.

The Genesis Way

Our culture is built around eight core values:

  • Faith — Living according to deeply held beliefs and values.
  • Excellence — Striving for superior standards in all we do.
  • Giving — Giving back to the communities that support us as we grow.
  • Customer Service — Creating experiences that inspire customers to return.
  • Dependability — Being someone our teammates, customers, and vendors can consistently rely on.
  • Growth — Continually improving both personally and professionally.
  • Resilience — Embracing challenges and change as opportunities to grow.
  • Compassion — Responding with kindness, empathy, and genuine care for others.

If these values describe who you are and the type of company you weight to be part of, we'd love to meet you.
